The Wycliffe Rooms is a premier event and function venue in the heart of Lutterworth, hosting live entertainment, community groups, business conferences and much more.

Faced with rising utility costs, the team who manage the venue began looking at solar PV as a means of reducing their energy bills and future-proofing the site for future expansion.

Installation details
The 47 kWp solar system Plug me in delivered for The Wycliffe Rooms is made up of 112 solar PV panels, and capable of generating 38,995 kWh a year. The system also saves 7.5 tonnes of CO2 annually – over its lifetime, that’s the equivalent of planting 2,250 trees.

Looking ahead
With their high-performance solar PV system in place, The Wycliffe Rooms have a strong foundation for future green upgrades – which could include battery storage for increased energy independence:

“With a limited budget and uncertainty about how our solar system would perform, we decided not to go for battery storage initially. But now that we’re set and seeing such incredible results, we’re ready to give it proper consideration!”
