Bonam & Berry Ltd. is a family-run architectural aluminium glazing company, offering a complete service of design, manufacture and installation.

Whilst arranging roof repairs for their East Nottingham premises, they began exploring solar PV as a means of future-proofing their building, cutting their costs and reducing their carbon output.

Finance Director Fran Aram explained:

“When tendering for new projects, we found contractors were increasingly interested in our green credentials, so decided to invest in a solar installation alongside the repairs to our roof. We chose Plug me in for the job as they were approachable, cost-effective and very well-reviewed.”

Installation Details

Plug me in delivered a 30.2 kWp solar PV system capable of generating 26,006 kWh annually and reducing carbon emissions by 5.5 tonnes a year. Over the system’s lifetime, that’s equivalent to planting 1,650 trees.

With the coinciding roof repairs, our installers took special care to observe health and safety rules at all times, liaising with the roofers and Bonam & Berry’s staff accordingly.

Financial and Environmental Impact

Since installation, Bonam & Berry’s solar PV system has performed brilliantly, making a significant reduction to both their carbon footprint and their energy costs.
