In the heart of Billesdon, Leicestershire, nestled within Rushfield Farm’s scenic expanse, lies Buttercups Tearoom. Housed in a converted barn with sweeping views of the picturesque countryside, it’s a sanctuary where families and friends gather to unwind. Here, amidst the serenity, patrons are greeted not only by the aroma of freshly brewed tea but also by the gentle presence of Rushfield Farm’s menagerie: Alpacas, Llamas, Goats, Donkeys, Horses, Pigs, Cows, and Geese, adding to the rustic charm.
Harnessing the Sun’s Power
Recently, Buttercups Tearoom underwent a transformative journey with the installation of solar panels by us. Through Nottingham University’s funding, they embraced renewable energy, aligning with their commitment to sustainability. The 25 kWp system, comprising 67 solar panels, commenced and completed within a mere week, showcasing our efficiency.
Reducing Carbon Footprint, Increasing Profit
In the first year alone, Buttercups Tearoom will slash its carbon emissions by 4 tonnes, with a staggering 20-year reduction estimated at 84 tonnes. Financially, the benefits are substantial, with a projected profit of £221,661 over two decades. The installation not only curtails operational costs but also fosters environmental stewardship, a testament to the dual benefits of solar energy adoption.
