Do you sometimes struggle to cover your energy bills? Or worry they could increase further?
The cost of energy has risen dramatically in recent years, and we know it’s difficult to keep on top of your spending.
This is where the ECO4 scheme can help. If you're eligible, you could receive funding for home upgrades to help reduce your bills and make your home warmer and more efficient.

How does it work?
The ECO (Energy Company Obligation) scheme is designed to enhance energy efficiency across UK homes, with its current phase - ECO4 - running until March 2026. It's government-backed and fully funded by energy companies.
And through Plug me in's partnership with Scottish Power, we're helping eligible homeowners, tenants and landlords access home upgrades - including air source heat pumps, solar PV, home insulation and smart heating controls.

Am I eligible for funding?
ECO4 focuses on low-income and vulnerable households. You could be eligible if:
- You're a homeowner, private tenant or landlord
- You earn under £31,000 a year or get income-related benefits
- You or someone living at your home has certain health conditions
- Your home has an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) rating of E, F or G

Which income-related benefits make me eligible?
To be eligible for ECO4 funding, you’ll need to be claiming at least one of these benefits:
- Universal Credit (UC)
- Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- Employment & Support Allowance (ESA)
- Income Support (IS)
- Housing Benefits
- Child Tax Credits (CTC) or Child Benefits
- Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
- Pension Credit Saving Credit
- Warm Home Discount Rebate
- Working Tax Credit (WTC)
Lower bills and a warmer, greener home – and it won’t cost you a penny!
